This tutorial provides step-by-step instructions on how to rotate a NPM Access Token.
Generate a new NPM Access Token
Step 1 - Navigate to the Access Token page
Click on your avatar in the upper right hand corner, and then click Access Tokens.
Step 2 - Generate a new Access Token
2a. Click on the Generate New Token button
2b. Configure your token
Provide a name and select a token type.
2c. Click Generate Token
Replace the Leaked NPM Access Token
Replace the leaked NPM Access Token with the new one in all impacted applications and services.
Revoke the Leaked NPM Access Token
Step 1 - Navigate to the Access Token page
Click on your avatar in the upper right hand corner, and then click Access Tokens.
Step 2 - Revoke the Access Token
2a. Click the x button
Click the x button next in the row corresponding to the Access Token you want to delete.
2b. Confirm deletion
In the “Are you sure?” pop-up, click the OK button.
